I eagerly awaited my class list yesterday - and was finally rewarded with it late in the afternoon. I looked upon it as a I do a present on Christmas morning. What treasure awaits me? As I looked at my list and saw the names of my students, I was relieved to see some familiar names and excited to see ones I do not recognize. I was ecstatic to finally have my "class" - no more the nameless faces as I am preparing for Meet the Teacher and the 1st day of school. I am envisioning happy, excited, nervous, and sad faces in the room with me. Don't worry - I am all those feelings too! We are nearly there and will be together soon! I am excited, happy and nervous about tomorrow night - mostly excited to see your faces and welcome you our class!
To my former students still following my blog, I hope you had an amazing summer. I wish you the best of luck this year. How did you feel when you received your teacher assignment today?
