...kindergartners are bouncing! Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day. Too many days of rain is not only causing floods - they are causing some kindergartners to be very "cagey". Hopefully, the sun will be out for a while tomorrow and the kids can go outside for recess. The dark, dreary and wet weather, makes for some very unhappy children. We've tried to have lots of movement in our day and do lots of different activities to give the children's excess energy an outlet. Hopefully, you were able to enjoy the bit of sunshine at the end of the day and go out for some fresh air (and maybe jump in a puddle or two!)
Thank you again for taking the time out to come to Curriculum Night last night. I hope I didn't overwhelm you with information and was able to answer questions you have had since school has started. If any come up or after you have had time to digest everything, please feel free to ask.
We enjoyed reading about Corduroy and his antics. We read Corduroy yesterday and Corduroy's Pocket today. It was great to see a continuation of what happens to Corduroy after he went home with Lisa. We had some more fine motor practice as we made Corduroy, his overalls and pocket. We also learned the parts of a bear and labeled a picture with the terms.
I hope your creative juices have been flowing. I cannot wait to see the teddy bear floats next week!
Have a great night!
